My husband and I had our wedding reception here and it was perfect. Our reception was held in their private room but it adjoins right to the main dining room so the kids could run around and play video games. Larry let us in the night before to decorate, was so accommodating and didn't charge us for one of the pizzas we didn't need. He worked with us to make it stress free and so fun on our big day. And of course the pizza is always fantastic! Definitely recommend (try the Smokin' Jack, its so good!)

Pretty good pizza, a salad bar with a nice selection, free WiFi and nice staff. We would go again.

The pizza was ok, the chicken was super greasy, one shady employee kept staring me down (um... do I know you?) and you can't drink a beer near the pinball machine. (What's up with that?) The lady that took my order seemed nice, albeit a bit confused. When I mentioned our experience to others in Gold Beach, everyone said we should have gone to Sunset Family Pizza instead. Maybe next time.

Visited August 4, 2015 With a craving for pizza and upon the suggestion of our older daughter who lives on the coast, we tried the Panther's Den and had great pizza and beer! In the past we've eaten at another local pizza parlor (which for some reason is rated higher) but the food and experience at Panther's Den far exceeded the experience at the previous location. We were warmly greeted by staff who joked with the kids and truly were interested in our day and trip; the Den offers a wide variety of brews and the pizza was fantastic. If you find yourself in Gold Beach or driving through, stop and try this quaint little pizza place - oh and they do offer delivery to your hotel if you choose!! Excellent!

Remember that apocalyptic movie where the couple goes into an empty pizza place and the zombies roam outside? No? Me either, but this could of been a set from it. The place was completely quiet and empty. And, it was a Friday. Wow. SO....We stood around for about 4 minutes wondering if we should stay or go. Finally, an older guy appeared and asked what we would like to order. We ordered a med size Mediterranean pizza and waited. It was a bit pricey for a med size pizza, but we were hungry and we support local places. We were told it would be a little longer wait since the pizza was baked in a stone fired oven. After about 20 min, we got our pizza and went back to the RV park to eat it. We opened up the box...but... it didn't look like a Mediterranean pizza. The pizza was loaded with fresh toppings like green peppers, black olives, tomatoes, onions, garlic, mushrooms and sausage. It looked more like a veggie pizza with added sausage. Maybe I didn't read the menu right? I checked the menu online to see if the order was right, and sure enough, it was the Mediterranean. Sauce was a simple red sauce that wasn't too bad. The pizza had a nice chewy crust, however it had no feta or spinach. NO FETA??? What's up with places calling their pizzas Mediterranean without feta cheese!!! Kinda bummed, but overall it was still pretty good.

Awesome employees....but CRAP pizza! Unbelievable.. i expect bad food on the road but come on. Frozen pizza has more character. Bland, textureless, tasteless sauce and government cheese...such a shame as we tipped 30% for the cool employees -- but will nosh on roadkill before we ever return. Do yourself a favor and pick up dinner from Ray's grocery store across the street instead. Or ....even a handful of sand would be preferable? So Id recommend either of those. Rays grocery store, or a handful of sand. But do NOT suffer the Panthers take on pizza. Im fairly sure an ACTUAL PANTHER would be more adept in the kitchen. YOU'RE WELCOME, PALATES OF THE WORLD. Xo

After several bad experiences, I decided to give the panthers den one last try. The positive; the lady who took my order was pleasant. The interior appeared clean. The battered mushrooms and potatoes are delicious. Now for the negative. First, I ordered my food to go, and was well aware that there was an added charge, but the menu says its .50, and I got charged 1.00. When I asked about it I was told that's what it was, a dollar. The pizza dough was under cooked, and the pizza lacked any flavor. There was little if any sauce. Prices are a bit steep for the quality of the pizza. In a small town in this economy, you'd think they would promote any business, rather than adding fees. I really wanted to like the food, but sadly I can't. I can't recommend this place.

My friends had pizza and I had the salad bar as we watched baseball on TV. Everything was OK. There is a kids area with video arcade games. Nice place for an inexpensive meal and families with young kids.

The good news is.... they will deliver to the RV parks if you are staying at one of the RV parks. The bad news is..... $3 delivery charge. Oh well.... When I called in, I was told next time to do #82 (or is it *82, I forgot....) and "unblock" my phone number because normally they will not answer if the caller ID shows "blocked" or "unknown" number. I then said, "well, don't you ask for a phone number as a matter of routine during the order? I was then told that due to a large number of crank calls and fake phone numbers, their policy is now not to answer "blocked" phone numbers. They want the number on caller ID in case there is a problem or issue and they have to call you back. Guess I just got lucky.... they answered THIS time..... despite the "blocked" number. I ordered the Vegetarian Special. The employee I was dealing with was new on the job and assumed I meant "Mediterranean Special" as it also is loaded with "Veggies." I had to say, "um....look further up the menu, I want VEGETARIAN. (The Mediterranean cost more...) Ok, the employee was new, I cut them some slack... Pizza was promised in 35 minutes, it came in a reasonable amount of time, although I wasn't really paying attention. Pizza was acceptable..... not the best, but not the worst. However, contrary to what one reviewer said, my medium sized pizza was LOADED with vegetables. Lots of tomatoes, lots of olives, lots of mushrooms, an adequate (without being overpowering) amount of green peppers, It was so loaded that when I picked up a piece, some of the small tomato cubes rolled off easily. I have a menu copy, oh guess what! If you go in and order it as a "we make, you take and bake" you get $2 off the price. I'll probably order again during my stay in Gold Beach, as it is convenient.

Called in with a to-go order and was told it would be ready in 40 minutes. Showed up 40 minutes later. Part of the order was ready, but the remainder wasn't. The employee at the front counter (who was tired? Stoned? Just not attentive? I really don't know) cited the fact that they were "really busy" as the reason why it wasn't ready. So we sat there and waited another 25 minutes. Over an hour later, everything was ready. Subpar pizza with scarce toppings and watery sauce, and small overpriced wings do not a good meal make. Amidst the chaos of signs, clutter and tchotchkes that cover the front counter is a sign that states that the pizzas take a long time because they are baked in "brick ovens." Nope, the kitchen area is visible and a Garland pizza deck oven cooks pizzas quickly and does not constitute a "brick oven."

Great pizza. Love the brick oven taste. Tons of toppings. Friendly staff. Best pizza in Gold Beach. I'll defiantly be a return customer.

Ate here today, pizza had the biggest pepperoni slices I've ever had. Tasted really good. Service was great. Very friendly staff. There are plenty of places to sit. Not sure how crowded it gets because I came in before the dinner rush. If your looking for great pizza that isn't fast food then this is your best bet. Their menu is available on their website. Prices aren't bad. Better than the ones I'm used to back home (PDX)

Not very good pizza. I guess they survive because they are across the street from the high school. Sauce was pretty bland, and the crust was a bit soggy.

Called in an order from my hotel room and the service was horrible, they were rude, kept putting me hold and passing me to different people! Ugh! And as fir the food.... Well.. I've had better frozen pizza!
